Preparation for C1 Advanced (CAE) in Khmelnytskyi

CAE Advanced exam confirms English proficiency at the level C1 (Advanced), according to the common European system of language levels gradation (CEFR). The exam requires a high academic level of English language proficiency, sufficient for admission to higher education in more than 135 countries.

C1 ADVANCED (CEA) exam

What does the C1 ADVANCED (CAE) consist of?
The exam consists of four parts. The total time of the test is about 4 hours.
Reading and Use of English :
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.

Number of questions: 56 (8 parts).
Text processing on various topics, such as fiction, newspapers and magazines. Checking the understanding of lexics and the ability to use the English language in various types of exercises.
Writing :
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.

The writing part consists of two written tasks. It can be a letter, an essay, a report, a proposal, and the like.
Listening:
Duration: 40 minutes.
Number of questions: 30 (3 parts).
Test of understanding of spoken English.
Recordings of monologues, dialogues or radio broadcasts are used for listening.
Speaking:
Duration: 1 approximately 15 minutes
Number of questions/parts: 4.
The Speaking part consists of monologic and dialogic speech with the examiner and the interlocutor.
